"BLACKFISH" SCREENING SEPT. 29 TO BENEFIT OCEAN ALLIANCE
The documentary “Blackfish” is receiving the kind of buzz we haven’t heard since the release of “The Cove,” which ended up winning the Oscar for Best Documentary. So we’re very pleased to say it’s coming to Gloucester for a one-night-only screening to benefit Ocean Alliance.
A New York Times and LA Times Critics Pick, “Blackfish” is described by the filmmakers as, “a mesmerizing psychological thriller with a killer whale at its centre, Blackfish is the first film since Grizzly Man to show how nature can get revenge on man when pushed to its limits.” It tells the story of Tilikum, a killer whale in captivity whose actions resulted in the deaths of several people. Join us at Cape Ann Community Cinema on Sunday September 29th at 6:30, tickets can be purchased here. Ocean Alliance CEO Iain Kerr will be speaking before the screening and answering questions afterwards.
